Study

The roof is formed by a prestressed membrane of double curvature and supported by an edge ring formed by opposite inclined arches that are frame connected with inclined piers. The piers are fixed into the footings, which are mutually tied by prestressed concrete ties. The membrane is assembled of precast square members of 3,0 x 3,0 m that are carried by strands transversally stretched between the arches. The stiffness of the roof is given by the post-tensioning of monostrands situated both in transverse and longitudinal joints between the precast members.
