Pedestrian Bridge across the Vah River, Ruzomberok, Slovakia (2013)

The bridge structure is formed by a stress ribbon deck that is suspended on inclined arches. The deck has a variable width from 6.5 m to 10.0 m; its depth is 0.40 m. The arch span is 55.20 m. Since the arch springs are connected with deck’s end diaphragms by a compression struts, the structure form a self anchored system that stresses the footings only by vertical forces.

In the architecture competition the SHP design got the first prize and was chosen for realization. At present the bridge design is being performed.
