Bridge across the Sacramento River, Benicia - Martinez, California, USA

Completed in 2007

The main bridge, with a total length of 1,600 m and spans from 160.0 to 200.4 m, has a 26 m wide deck formed by a box girder of variable depth that has large overhangs stiffened by ribs. The bridge is assembled from three multi-span frames connected by inside steel girders. The deck, made from lightweight concrete, was progressively cast in segments with lengths of 4.8 m.

Design: Joint Venture T.Y.Lin International, San Francisco and CH2MHill, Sacramento.
